I first saw this film when I was 16 whilst coming down from an Acid trip. round a friends house and loved it ever since. Its up there with the very best Sci Fi great movies.??. Keeping it real. I would want to be treated as a regular person even if famous. Split pea soup. Ixolit wien. I should have known, and actually did expect that the movie, at a little over three hours, couldn"t do justice to the Frank Herbert novel that ran nearly eight hundred pages. This was one of those rare occasions where I recently read the book and called up the movie within a short period of time so that a reasonable comparison could be made. Yes, there were many elements of the novel that appeared in the film, though nearly as many elements that weren"t, and merely thrown in to fascinate the viewer. One such was the appearance of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Kenneth McMillan) portrayed as a floating gas-bag with a face pock-marked with pus filled pimples that made him look grotesque. Or the Mentats, described here as human computers, whereas they were more effectively characterized in the novel as elite assassins. Characters in the novel like Lady Jessica (Francesca Annis) had a much larger role in the story that took place, and were much more influential in the mystical development of Paul Atreides (Kyle MacLachlan) as the youth who eventually replaced his father to lead the Fremens against the Harkonnens on the planet Arrakis.
So it puzzles me to learn that Frank Herbert was actually fond of the David Lynch treatment of his celebrated work, hailed by many as the ultimate work of fantasy fiction. For some, maybe so, but for me it doesn"t hold a candle to Tolkien"s Lord of the Rings trilogy, and if you extend that argument to cinema, the same holds true. Perhaps the best thing I can say about the movie was it"s casting of principal characters. Kyle MacLachlan was a good choice for the role of Paul Atreides, maybe a tad too old to portray a fifteen year old future monarch, but I don"t think an actual teenager would have been right to pull off the part. Jose Ferrer imparted the proper gravitas for the Padishah Emperor, and Jürgen Prochnow made for a suitable Duke Leto Atreides. One of the miscasts though had to be Patrick Stewart as Paul"s adviser Gurney Halleck, mostly because he didn"t have all that much to do and had no impact on the story. There were any number of scenes in which he was left just standing around as part of the scenery.
On adapting such a well known and admired book as "Dune" director David Lynch has been quoted as saying, You"ve got to be either stupid or crazy to try something like this." With all due respect to someone who"s had his share of success in filmdom, a remark like that makes one too easy of a target.

Xolito sound system. This film has always intrigued me and i find it a very strange yet re-freshing sci-fi! I have never read the book or seen the TV series - to me this was a very strange film about the second coming (of sorts) and grandee battle scenes.
One of the most attractive things in this movie is the colourful characters and fantastic main theme tune - very epic indeed. Also, we get to see great character actors (Stewart and McGill) on top form and some truly bizarre characters.
this is certainly an cult film and will never be to everyones taste but the film as a whole is totally entertaining and a little more complex than the one dimensional trash out these days.

Apart from the intelligent, original and refreshing chronological intertwine of different storylines, the brilliant script is a gem. It succeeds in making the mix of absurdly gross and directly shot violence and all day chit-chat more than believable. Where else have you seen a guy commenting on the quality of his victim-to-be"s Kahunaburger and asking him a sip of his beverage to wash it down seconds before pumping everyone in the room full-o-lead. When did you last see a scene in which one of the 2 bad guys accidently "erase" their captive"s brains during a car ride and then discuss the mess it creates, the bump in the road that caused this and who"s supposed to clean up, without worrying even the slightest about the man"s death ? Not to speak of Walken in a small role handing Willis the watch that, according to his monologue, sat years in someone"s there-where-the-sun-don"t-shine before being handed on, without being completely unbelievable ? All this completed with a cool worth-wile soundtrack (very retro-sixties/seventies) a great well-picked cast and the magic Tarantino touch, this movie ROCKS.

Their lifes come together with a boxer who rips off Marcellus Wallace for alot of cash, Butch Collidge (Bruce Willis) and his spanish wife (Maria de Medeiros. two drug dealers/junkies, Lance (Eric Stoltz) and his wife Jody (Rosanna Arquette) who sell heroin to Vincent Vega, two brittish bank robbers, Pumpkin (Tim Roth) and Honey Bunny (Amanda Plummer) who decide to robb the diner they are in that just so happens that Vincent and Jules are dining in it too, a slick handyman Mr. Winston Wolf (Harvey Keital) that helps Jules and Vincent clean up a dead body out of their car and Marcellus Wallace"s coke-addict wife Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) who Vincent takes out to dinner (orders from Marcellus) and almost dies on him. Known for its violent comedy and original theme, scored six Academy Award Nominations and one win for Best Original Screenplay (Quentin Tarantino & Roger Avery. This film is overall wonderful for anyone looking for fun at the movies. I liked it because of it"s steaming originality and cool and twisted plot twists. Rent it today. Pulp Fiction Collector"s Editon DVD is available this August.

Avengers: Infinity War
A good superhero film with tons of action, emotions and fun. Avengers Infinity War is now the biggest movie of all time with an opening for the weekend of April 27th 2018 around the world of 680 million dollars and raising each day. The Avengers assemble to take on the big purple bully Thanos who wants the 6 infinity stones for his infinity guanlet to control the universe.
The film is pretty simple to understand and I"ll try to explain it without giving away spoliers and believe me I want to tell you guys what happened but I won"t. I promise I will with all my power to not say any spoliers but it"ll be hard. But anyway the film is about the Avengers Iron Man, Spiderman, Captain America, Black Widow etc assemble to take on Thanos who wants these stones to be the greatest villian in the universe. Now this film has been 10 years in the making and the reason I say this is because if you haven"t watched the other films that feature infinity stones you"ll basically be lost. No offense but why would you watch a movie like Infinity War without watching the other films. You"ll be confused and out of sorts if you did, it"s silly but hey that"s just me I like to watch films in general so I"ve already seen the other Marvel films that the stones were in so I knew what where they were but if you haven"t watch the films, shame on you, but I"ll help you in the quest for the Infinity Stones.
There are 6 infinity stones that are scattered around the universe and these are the films where they were found. These are not spoliers because they"ve been discovered already so here we go. The Space Stone is inside the Tesseract in Captain America: The First Avenger which was stolen by Loki and used to attack New York in the first Avengers film. The Reality Stone was located in Thor: The Dark World which was given to The Collector who"ll make an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 for safekeeping. Speaking of Guardians this is where we find The Power stone which was discovered by Peter Quill aka Star Lord which they gave to the Collector for safekeeping at the end of the film. The Mind Stone was seen in Avenger Age of Ultron and is inside Vision forehead where it remains until we see it in Infinity War. The Time Stone is seen in Doctor Strange which is protected by the Doctor at all times. The last stone is called a Soul Stone and we found out where and how Thanos get that gem in Infinity War.
Now the film itself was really entertaining but very emotional and of course I can"t speak on that part because that would be spoilers and I don"t do spoilers as I have said before. But see this film in the theaters it"s worth the price of admission. I will be buying this film when it comes out on blu-ray and I"ll pick up some comics to find out what"s going to happen next.

Im glad that i was born in the right generation to be able to witness the mcu. Honestly, I havent even seen the actual movie, but Peter begging for his life brought me to tears. He knew he was gonna die as well. His spider sense would tell him he was about to die. If the intensity of his headache tells him the level of danger too, then he mustve been in so much pain. Man, this trailer is art. So they couldn"t have gotten Loki and black widow back when they went back in time in end game. 2:15 this man really just sinned this movie for something that happened in another movie like what.
